Aston Villa v Bournemouth: Team news, head-to-head, betting odds, lineups, prediction

Aston Villa will be hopeful of making it three wins on the bounce in all competitions as they welcome Bournemouth to Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday (26 October).

The Villans have welcomed multiple first-team stars back from injury and have hit a positive vein of form, which has seen them go unbeaten in all competitions since August.

Preview

Unai Emery’s side are coming into the clash against the Cherries off the back of a Champions League win against Bologna which has seen them go top of the table.

Confidence is sky-high in B6, which supporters will hope will carry through to a difficult test against a Bournemouth side who secured three points against Arsenal last time out.

Both sides want to play out from the back, which will make for an interesting clash as Andoni Iraola faces his countryman at Villa Park.

Villa enter the weekend fourth in the Premier League on 17 points, seven places and six points better off than Bournemouth, who landed a huge win over Arsenal in their most recent match.

Prediction: Aston Villa 2-0 Bournemouth

The Villans are on a superb run at the moment and there is no reason why they shouldn’t be securing all three points at home against Bournemouth.

That isn’t to say that the Cherries have a lack of firepower, with Semenyo and Tavernier likely to cause plenty of problems for the Villa full-backs.

Against his former club, Rogers is likely to be key once again, as will be his combination play with Watkins if he reclaims his place from Jhon Duran.

It won’t be an easy game by any means for Emery’s side but one they will be hopeful of three points from.
