Aston Villa to welcome Marcus Rashford amid January development at Manchester United
Aston Villa would welcome Marcus Rashford with open arms after he asked to leave Manchester United, according to El Nacional.
The Catalan outlet reported on 23 October that the England international has asked his agent to get him out of Old Trafford as early as the January window.
The 26-year-old is said to be out of Erik Ten Hag’s sights and will look to move on regardless of any asking price set by the club.
Villa are said to be interested and could face competition from Marseille and Napoli who will all ” welcome him with open arms”.
Aston Villa could sign Marcus Rashford from Manchester United
The Villans have had an almost dream start to the campaign which sees them sit fourth in the Premier League and top of the Champions League table.
Their squad has been utilised successfully so far despite injuries already taking their toll on different games.
As a result, supporters have forgotten about the disappointment of missing out on Joao Felix to Chelsea after weeks of transfer links.
With that being said, it is possible that Unai Emery may make a move for another attacking talent in the January window with Rashford being a potential option.
The Red Devils’ academy product has come under plenty of pressure in the past year for a selection of poor performances which have seen him score just 12 goals, in all competitions, since the start of last season.

A move away from Old Trafford could prove to be beneficial for all parties and the opportunity to play for the Villans under Emery could be an opportunity too good to turn down.
The Spaniard could be the man to get the best out of the versatile forward as he has done with many players in B6.
In other Aston Villa news, the Premier League have refused to comment as Villa get involved in fresh controversy.
