Jamie O’Hara makes ‘unbelievable’ admission after Aston Villa win
Jamie O’Hara has spoken about Aston Villa’s revival under Unai Emery following their 2-0 win against Bologna in the Champions League.
The win took Villa to the top of the league stage in the Champions League, continuing their impressive start to the season.
Villa have become a force to be reckoned with under Emery and O’Hara has explained how expectations have changed.
Speaking on talkSport (22 October), O’Hara said: “You know whats unbelievable? Aston Villa, turn up at Fulham the other day. Fulham have been playing really well. Win 3-1. Turn up against Bologna, 2-0. Thanks for coming.
“It’s like, every week, Villa just win. It’s becoming normal to see Aston Villa getting results.”
Aston Villa can have another remarkable season
Emery has transformed Villa into a team that not too long ago found themselves flirting with relegation. Now, the story is very different.
Villa have become a club capable of challenging at the top of the table and now top of the Champions League, the sky truly is the limit.
Players such as Jhon Duran and Morgan Rogers have been influential in the club’s start to the season and their form has attracted expected interest from clubs around the country.
Quite often when a traditional ‘big six’ club make it into Europe, their league form can suffer as a result of a lack of depth and fatigue. However, Aston Villa have managed it very well.
Emery’s side sit fourth In the Premier League, just four points from top having won five of their opening eight fixtures.
Arguments can certainly be made for Villa being the most exciting team in the country at the moment as their progress just seems to continue.
