Morgan Rogers to earn England call-up after what Aston Villa star did v Fulham

Bryan King has backed Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers to earn a full England call-up.

The ex-Villa scout was impressed with the 22-year-old’s performance against Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday (19 October).

Rogers scored his second goal of the season as Unai Emery’s side ran out 3-1 winners at Craven Cottage.

And King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – doesn’t think it’ll be long before Rogers is rewarded on the international stage.

“Rogers, Watkins and Martinez were all central in Villa’s success against Fulham,” King said.

“These are players that are being talked about. Therefore, it is only a matter of time until Rogers gets an England call-up.

“It was another positive performance from him.”

Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers to earn England call-up in November?

Rogers missed out on the England squad in October, which didn’t leave Emery best-pleased.

King has backed Rogers to earn an England call-up previously this season, and it appears as though he has only continued to be impressed by the player.

With another international break to come in November, Rogers will really be looking to make an impression on Lee Carsley over the next month.

And with Thomas Tuchel set to take over in January, he too might be keeping a close eye on Rogers.
