Emi Buendia could start in Aston Villa clash v Fulham amid Jaden Philogene development

Ty Bracey could see Emi Buendia starting for Aston Villa against Fulham to cover for the injured Jaden Philogene.

The England Under-21 international suffered a blow during the break which could see him ruled out of the trip to Craven Cottage on Saturday 19 October.

Unai Emery now has a decision to make for his starting XI against Marco Silva’s side with a replacement for the 22-year-old.

Villa podcaster Bracey, who features on the Villa Social, believes Buendia could come in for the winger to make his first start of the season since returning from a long-term injury.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “I’d expect to see a similar 11 against Fulham as the Manchester United game.

Maybe give or take Jaden Philogene, apart from him I should imagine that the 11 will be similar. Maybe Buendia comes in for him from the start.

We never know with Emery, you never quite know what is around the corner.

He would add to the team, he’s a great ball carrier and has got an eye for goal. He’s capable of an assist as well and he’ll be hungry to break back into the side as well.

If there’s ever going to be an opportunity arising it’s now so I’d like to see him back in the side.

This could prove to be the perfect opportunity for the Argentine to make his starting Premier League return after featuring against Wycombe Wanderers in the EFL Cup.

The 27-year-old would certainly bring a point of difference to Emery’s side with his ability on the ball being different to anyone else.

Having Buendia and Morgan Rogers on the ball against Fulham could prove to be a dangerous weapon which could cause plenty of problems and help the Villans earn the win.
