
Aston Villa suffer ‘massive blow’ amid latest Jaden Philogene development
Ty Bracey is frustrated to lose Jaden Philogene for Aston Villa after he suffered an injury on international duty with England Under-21s.
The 22-year-old is a doubt for the away clash against Fulham on Saturday 19 October after featuring across 84 minutes for the Three Lions before being taken off [The Athletic].
This is certainly a blow to Unai Emery after the winger started the Villans’ last two games against Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Villa podcaster Bracey, who features on the Villa Social, was disappointed to learn of Philogene’s injury, especially after his form in recent weeks.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “It is massively frustrating for him more than anything.
“He’s looked really good for us and I think it’s such a shame. He’s come into the first team and looked really good defensively and going forward.
“He most definitely didn’t look out of place against Bayern Munich.
“It’s a massive blow for him but hopefully a quick one and he’ll return back to his best soon.“

The former Hull City star came into his own in Claret and Blue in the Champions League, keeping the likes of Alphonso Davies, Kingsley Coman and Jamal Musiala quiet throughout.
This was no mean feat and Philogene also shone with a few technical moments as he utilised his ability on the ball to ghost past defenders and force the Villans up the pitch.

Emery could really do without another injury after suffering blows to the likes of Jacob Ramsey and Leon Bailey in recent weeks just adding to the frustration at Villa Park.
