Aston Villa ace Jhon Duran attracting eyes after what he did for Colombia
Ty Bracey believes eyes are starting to look at Jhon Duran after he continued an excellent start to the season for Aston Villa with a goal for Colombia.
The 20-year-old scored as a substitute once again, this time for his country, grabbing the third in a 4-0 win for Los Cafeteros against Chile on 15 October.
This is the sixth time that the striker has scored off the bench this campaign for club and country, with the most memorable strike coming against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
This has led to calls for him to start ahead of Ollie Watkins but Bracey, who features on the Villa Social, understands why Unai Emery favours the Englishman as interest grows in Duran’s form.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “There are eyes starting to look at Jhon Duran, his name keeps cropping up within football.
“He has done everything he can to warrant that and I’m over the moon for him that he is getting confidence from that.
“I just think that we need to see him starting some games. At the same time, I can see why Watkins keeps starting ahead of him.
“It’s massive for him to be scoring goals and to do it on the international stage now is going to be massive for him as well.“
Aston Villa Jhon Duran scores again in Colombia victory
The former Chicago Fire man has garnered plenty of transfer interest in his time at Villa with Napoli the latest to show an interest in his signature [napolicalciolive.com].
With that being said, the Villans have tied the Colombian down to a new deal which will look to keep him at Villa Park until 2030 with no release clause.

Supporters and Emery will be pleased to see the 20-year-old score again while Watkins is likely to be looking over his shoulder.
In other Aston Villa news, Emery has been handed a boost ahead of the Fulham clash as one star has shared an injury update.
