Thomas Tuchel backed to name Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers in England squad after development

Ty Bracey believes Morgan Rogers has to be patient to earn an England call-up after Thomas Tuchel was appointed as manager.

The former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss will take over the Three Lions in January after being announced on Wednesday 16 October [Sky Sports].

This will hand the Villa ace hopes that he can earn a role in the senior set-up at Wembley after becoming a regular feature for the Under-21s side.

Villa podcaster Bracey, who features on the Villa Social, has urged the 22-year-old to be patient and wait for his chance under the new German manager.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “I think it is a perfect time for players to showcase their ability when a new manager comes in.

Fingers crossed that Tuchel can see what Villa fans see in Rogers and something comes of it.

He’s done everything he physically can to get that call up but it’s one of those things.

He’s got to be patient and wait for the right opportunity and I think that will come with Tuchel coming in, I don’t think there’s a better time.

Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers hopeful of England spot under Thomas Tuchel

The former Manchester City ace has caught the imagination this campaign with some superb performances, especially against the likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

Despite only registering one goal and two assists this season, the forward has been an everpresent under Unai Emery so far this season.

His ability on the ball is truly unique and would serve him well for the national side, something which Tuchel may look to utilise when he takes charge of the Three Lions in the new year.

In other Aston Villa news, one fringe ace has only damaged his chances under Emery after what he did on international duty.
