Aston Villa ace Kosta Nedeljkovic ‘needs time’ as Serbia mistakes are defended

Ty Bracey has defended the “very young” Aston Villa ace Kosta Nedeljkovic after making mistakes on international duty with Serbia.

The 18-year-old gave away a penalty in his first appearance of the break in a moment which is unlikely to have impressed Unai Emery.

After a slow start to the campaign in B6, the right-back will have been keen to prove a point in an attempt to earn a starting role in the Premier League.

Villa podcaster Bracey, who features on the Villa Social, believes the Serbia international will only get better after these experiences given his youthful nature.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “He is still very young and mistakes happen.

Before you become old and wise you have to be young and silly so these things happen.

There will be no one more critical of his mistakes than himself and those things just do happen, especially at a younger age.

He needs some time to get that stuff right and perfect his craft but I have no doubt that he will come good. Hopefully, these incidents can already be behind him.

In clashes against Switzerland and Spain, the Villa youngster started but failed to truly make a positive impression, being substituted in the second clash after a generally poor showing.

The Serb will now return to B6 ahead of a Premier League clash against Fulham but it seems unlikely that he will start after the return of Matty Cash against Manchester United.

This is yet another setback in his start to life at Villa Park but at just 18, there is plenty of room for the defender to grow and potentially become a first-team regular under Emery moving forward.

In other Aston Villa news, one star has to be wary of this Fulham ace after what he did during the international break.
