Kosta Nedeljkovic damages Aston Villa chances after what he did for Serbia
Kosta Nedeljkovic has damaged his chances of a first-team role at Aston Villa after he gave away a penalty for Serbia on Saturday 12 October.
The 18-year-old has been featured sparingly by Unai Emery at Villa Park and the international break posed an opportunity to earn a spot back in the starting XI.
The right back has only made two Premier League appearances for the Villans but did start in a 2-0 win over Switzerland for his country.
After giving away a penalty while starting for his country, faith in him in B6 may be damaged even further.

It has to be said that there were some positive elements to the former Red Star youngster’s game against Switzerland.
This saw him keep a clean sheet as the Eagles secured a win over the Swiss in the Nations League.
During his 73-minute appearances, the Villa man was only afforded 24 touches but made up for that with 12 passes completed with an 86 per cent accuracy [FotMob].
It has to be said that this is where the positives end after keeping up a zero per cent tackle success while giving away a penalty against Dan Ndoye.
The spot kick was missed but didn’t stop Nedeljkovic from being penalised for an ill-advised challenge.
This also saw the 18-year-old lose all of his attempted duels with a zero per cent success rate and was also dribbled past once on the night.

Despite failing to complete a tackle or win a duel, Nedeljkovic did make three clearances and complete four recoveries.
This sort of performance won’t be particularly pleasing to Emery who already seems unsure about the young defender and his capabilities.
