John McGinn injury update emerges for Aston Villa v Fulham
John McGinn’s injury at Aston Villa seems to be worse than what was feared initially, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims if he is to return from his hamstring setback for the game against Fulham at Craven Cottage on 19 October, he will need to return to training during the international break.
If he’s unable to make a training return by early next week, it’s highly unlikely he will play the Premier League clash.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “He suffered a hamstring injury that seems to be worse than initially feared.
“He could be back in contention right after the international break based on comments from Emery.
“If that’s the case, he would be integrated into first-team training during the break.
“However, if he’s not back by early next week, he’s highly unlikely to be fit for the first game after the break.“
John McGinn may not start for Aston Villa v Fulham even if he returns from injury
Unai Emery stated on 29 September that he sees the Scotland international being out of action for another three to four weeks.
The 29-year-old has made five Premier League starts this term and has been among the first names on the team sheet for the Spaniard.

It remains to be seen if he’s fit in time for the Fulham clash and even if he is, the club may look to integrate him slowly and give him minutes off the bench.
In other Aston Villa news, a first-team player has left Unai Emery fuming and the rest of his teammates down after what he did recently.
