Unai Emery handed squad boost as Aston Villa announce super double contract news
Unai Emery has been handed a boost to his Aston Villa squad after new contracts were announced for Triston Rowe and Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba.
The Villans announced long-term extensions for the 18-year-old duo via their official website on Tuesday 8 October.
Academy manager Mark Harrison was “delighted” as both deals were confirmed by the club in a double swoop.
This comes just two weeks after both made the first team squad for the EFL Cup clash against Wycombe Wanderers with Jimoh-Aloba coming on for his debut.
Triston Rowe and Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba sign new Aston Villa deals
Emery has been reluctant to utilise young talents from the academy in his spell in charge at Villa Park but has taken some positive steps to do so this season.
This has seen the likes of Sil Swinkels and Lamare Bogarde start together in the EFL Cup, with the latter also starting in the Premier League and Champions League.
With that being said, nailing down this new duo to long-term contracts could point towards the Spaniard introducing them slowly into the first team.
Rowe is a right-back who could provide some competition to the likes of the Dutchman and Matty Cash moving forward this campaign.

Jimoh-Aloba is a midfielder who may be scuppered by Boubacar Kamara’s potential return but may feature in the EFL and FA Cup this season.
At 18, the pair could be ideal for the future of the club and follow in the footsteps of Jacob Ramsey to become first-team regulars.
In other Aston Villa news, Jhon Duran is said to be earning as much as one star after the latest contract development.
