Pau Torres has Harry Kane preference ahead of Aston Villa v Bayern Munich
Dan Bardell believes that Pau Torres wants to face Harry Kane for Aston Villa amid the latest injury developments out of Bayern Munich.
The England international has been spotted in training ahead of the Champions League clash at Villa Park on Wednesday 2 October.
This could see the 31-year-old come up against Torres which Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell thinks might suit the Spaniard.
Despite this, the Villa supporter isn’t taking the Bundesliga giants lightly.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bardell said: “I think Pau Torres in particular would definitely prefer a striker of Kane’s ilk than Mbappe.
“There’s no getting away from it that Kane is one of the best in the world and if he isn’t playing, it’s a good thing for Villa.
“He’s had some good days at Villa Park previously for sure.
“It’s not just Kane though, Bayern pose a danger pretty much everywhere. Villa are a great side, but Bayern play Champions League football season in season out.
“They’ve probably never been out of it in the modern era. This is a different type of challenge to anything Villa have faced under Emery.“

Ever since signing from Villarreal, the Spaniard has been an everpresent at the heart of the backline under Unai Emery.
This will certainly be the toughest test the defender and his manager have faced in their time with the Villans on a monumental occasion for the players and supporters.
Fans will be willing their side on with an electric night ahead in B6 but three points won’t come easily against one of the best sides in Europe.
Although there is a chance that Kane won’t be fit to start, if he does, he will certainly pose a threat to the likes of Torres and Diego Carlos who was poor against Ipswich Town.
There is a lot to look forward to on Wednesday night (2 October) but there is also plenty to be wary of as Vincent Kompany’s side comes to the West Midlands.
