Jhon Duran could look to quit Aston Villa in 2025 after Fabrizio Romano transfer update

Ty Bracey can’t see Jhon Duran leaving Aston Villa in January amid transfer interest after an electric start to the season.

The Colombia international has begun the campaign on fire with five goals in his opening seven games, with just one coming as a start.

As a result, it isn’t a surprise that the likes of Barcelona [Fabrizio Romano], Newcastle United and Chelsea are interested in the 20-year-old’s signature [Give Me Sport].

Villa podcaster Bracey, who features on the Villa Social, believes Duran’s value is inflated right now but doesn’t think he will leave.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “I’ll be honest, I don’t think he will leave Villa in January.

I do think if he isn’t a starter next year, he will probably look elsewhere which is understandable if he wants regular first team minutes.

I just think his value will be higher than we demanded in the window regardless and if clubs don’t offer the money then he won’t go.

We’ll see how it all pans out but do I expect Duran to stay for the duration of the season? Absolutely.

Jhon Duran could leave Aston Villa in January

The former Chicago Fire youngster has switched it on this season and has become one of the most spoken-about players in the Premier League.

There is good reason for this with his frequent goalscoring and ability to do spectacular things like his long-range strike against Everton.

As a result, it is no surprise that sides are reigniting their interest in potentially signing the striker but with his impact at Villa, Emery can’t afford to lose him right now.

Although Ollie Watkins is still his starting man, having someone like Duran to come on and make such a positive impact is almost priceless.

There may be bids coming in that the hierarchy at B6 may struggle to turn down but a sale will take some serious weighing up and decision making.
