Aston Villa in transfer mission to sign ‘dazzling’ Bristol Rovers ace Kofi Shaw
Aston Villa have sent scouts to watch Bristol Rovers youngster Kofi Shaw, according to The Sun on Sunday.
The newspaper reported on 29 September (page 55) that the 17-year-old has attracted interest from the Villans and Southampton after making his first start for the Gas this season.
The midfielder has been described as “dazzling” and appears to be happy playing first-team League One football despite Premier League scouts watching him.
Aston Villa want Bristol Rovers starlet Kofi Shaw
The Villans have made a habit of picking up top young talents early on in their development and looking to build them up through their academy set-up.
This has already been seen over the recent summer window with Kane Taylor coming in from Manchester City for £750k [Fabrizio Romano].
There has been a steady production line at Villa Park of young players coming through into the first team with Lamare Bogarde being the latest youngster to become a regular under Unai Emery.
There is a chance that Shaw could prove to be the latest starlet in a long line to make the move to B6 despite being happy at the Memorial Ground.

Starting League One games at 17-years-old is no mean feat and just goes to show how highly he is rated and how well he is performing.
A purchase with a loan return option could be utilised by Monchi and Co. in a deal which could prove to suit all parties.
