Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn return update emerges after new injury

Aston Villa attacking midfielder John McGinn is ruled out with a suspected Grade 2 or Grade 3 injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the 29-year-old is not expected to return before late October as this one will keep him out for weeks.

The club have also been told to take extra care of the Scotland international as such setbacks are prone to reinjury.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:

This sounds like a Grade 2 or 3 hamstring injury.

Key is guarding against future injury as the hamstrings are notoriously sensitive and prone to reinjury.

A late October return is the best-case scenario for McGinn.

John McGinn will be a huge miss for Aston Villa

Villa are undoubtedly going to miss McGinn’s impact in the final third in the coming weeks.

Last season, he was among the first names on the team sheet for Unai Emery’s side, with him featuring in 35 league games.

This campaign as well, the 29-year-old made five league appearances but is now set to miss a few as he nurses his latest injury.
