Aston Villa duo Kadan Young and Sil Swinkels singled out after defeat v Wycombe

Ty Bracey has hailed Kadan Young and Sil Swinkels for their positive Aston Villa performances against Wycombe Wanderers.

Unai Emery opted for a youthful starting XI on Tuesday (24 September) against the League One outfit and scraped through with a 2-1 win.

Goals from Emi Buendia and Jhon Duran were enough to overcome the Chairboys, who made the most of Villa’s defensive frailties with a late consolation goal.

Villa podcaster Bracey, who features on the Villa Social, picked out the duo in particular for their performances on the night.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “I don’t think that Kadan Young looked out of place.

I also don’t think that Sil Swinkels looked out of place, he was pretty good overall. Mainly those two were the two standouts from the game.

They both looked good, Swinkels was bang on and Young looked promising out wide.

The youngsters both had positive moments dispute looking slightly lost at different periods up against Matt Bloomfield’s more physical side.

As a pair of academy stars who are used to youth team football, they did well for large portions with Young having a telling impact for the opening goal.

Swinkels has been slammed by some supporters who didn’t see what Bracey did and were left disappointed by his performance as a whole.

Whether there were poor moments or not, there was plenty to be positive about and for two starlets featuring properly for the senior team for the first team, it is an exciting time for the club.
