Chris Heck remit admission shared as problems mooted amid Villa Park modernisation
Dan Bardell believes Aston Villa have problems to solve but is pleased with the modernisation of Villa Park which has become visible in recent weeks.
The famous old stadium has had a fresh lick of paint and a whole host of LED screens added around the pitch and on the stands.
Considering problems with the facilities and ticket systems at Villa Park, some fans feel that these additions are papering over cracks to please fans.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell has praised the modernisation at the ground but thinks there are still plenty of issues for Chris Heck to deal with.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bardell said: “I’ve been quite critical of some of the decisions that Chris Heck has made and obviously he’s got a remit at the club.
“He’s got a lot of things that he will be working on and some of that will involve improving Villa Park and trying to make it a little bit more pleasing on the eye and modernise it.
“I’ve got no problems with LED screens, just because they’ve got them it doesn’t mean they aren’t focusing on other things.
“I thought they looked good, it was good to see a more modernised Villa Park.
“They’ve obviously got a load of other problems and things they need to be working on.“

The majority of Villa supporters don’t necessarily hold Heck in the highest esteem given the whole Champions League ticket price drama.
One thing that can’t be levelled at the President of Business Operations is that he doesn’t have a backbone.
If he makes a decision that he believes in, he sticks by it and as we’ve seen is willing to back it up in a statement to supporters when they demand it.
Villa Park does look better for the new LED screens, they do add a modern feel to the stadium and add life to the somewhat tired stands.
With that being said, other issues could have been sorted before this one and Villa fans would have taken it and more than likely praised the update.
