Kadan Young surely pushing for Aston Villa debut after latest contract development

Kadan Young will be looking to make his first-team debut soon after signing a new long-term contract at Aston Villa.

The Villans shared the news, via their official website on Wednesday 18 September, that the 18-year-old has committed his future to Villa Park.

This comes after Unai Emery named the wide forward on the substitutes bench in the Champions League against Young Boys (17 September), as Villa started their European venture with a convincing 3-0 win, having also done so for the comeback 3-2 win versus Everton.

Kadan Young signs long term Aston Villa contract

The Villans have had a steady flow of young talent coming into the first team at B6 over the years and that doesn’t appear to be slowing down.

The most recent example has been Jacob Ramsey, who has become a valuable member of the Villa side under multiple managers.

This has seen him rise from a bit part player to a key player who is getting on the scoresheet in the Champions League for his boyhood club.

Now Young will be keen to follow in his footsteps and become the latest academy star to break into the first-team set-up.

It is clear that the winger is highly rated at Bodymoor Heath with Academy Manager Mark Harrison speaking out on his future ambitions.

He said: “We will look forward to seeing Kadan develop over the coming seasons and hopefully develop into a first-team player for many years to come.”

This won’t be easy given the expectations that Emery has for his side but the likes of Lamare Bogarde and Kosta Nedeljkovic have managed to reach in recent weeks.

The England Under 18s international is a tricky winger who can also feature as a striker and looked positive in a friendly showing against Walsall.

There is clearly plenty of hope for the youngster with this new long term deal after making multiple matchday squads to start the season.

In other Aston Villa news, Emery must take notice of a teenage player after what he did earlier in the day.
