Tyrone Mings Aston Villa return predicted v Wycombe amid recovery development
Ty Bracey believes that Tyrone Mings could play for Aston Villa against Wycombe Wanderers after returning to training.
The Villans shared footage of the England international to X on 9 September as the defender joined Unai Emery in training at Bodymoor Heath.
This has been met with excitement from supporters who are looking to see the 31-year-old back in action.
Villa podcaster, who features on the Villa Social, Bracey has earmarked the upcoming Carabao Cup clash against the Chairboys for Mings’ potential return.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “It wouldn’t surprise me if he is close, that he comes in against Wycombe.
“I think that would be a good opportunity for him. It all boils down to how far he is through his recovery stage and whether he has that in the tank or not.
“You would like to think he is close but he is going to be slowly reintroduced because he has been out for a long time.
“I’m very excited to see him come back, all the fans are, he’s been on a journey with us and we need to get behind him and instil that confidence in him when he’s on the pitch.“
Tyrone Mings makes Aston Villa training return
It was gutting when the former skipper suffered an injury against Newcastle United which was met by radio silence over the coming months.
Mings has now come to terms with the injury and is looking closer to featuring for the Villans based on the footage that has emerged.
It will certainly take time for him to get up to match speed in Emery’s side after such a long period out but the international break has provided the perfect opportunity to step up his recovery.
There appears to be hope that the defender can play in the cup against the League One side on 24 September which would be met by joy from Villa fans.
