Aston Villa star Nedeljkovic proves himself to Unai Emery with what he did for Serbia
Ty Bracey believes Kosta Nedeljkovic has done all he can with Serbia to prove himself to Unai Emery to earn an Aston Villa start.
The 18-year-old started both games in the Nations League for the Eagles and performed well against tough opposition in Spain and Denmark.
There have been calls for the former Red Star starlet to start for the Villans, especially with Matty Cash being ruled out due to an injury picked up against Arsenal.
Villa podcaster, who features on the Villa Social, Bracey thinks Nedeljkovic has done all he can to prove himself ahead of a return to Premier League action.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “He’s done everything required of him. He was tracking back, showed his pace and was putting balls into the penalty area as well.
“He’s doing what is expected and that is only going to reflect well on him.
“Ultimately it is going to come down to Unai Emery whether he gets more game time and there’s no better time.
“With Matty Cash out injured, there is an opportunity there for him to prove himself.“
Aston Villa star Kosta Nedeljkovic shines for Serbia
The youngster has taken to live with the Villans quite smoothly given his age and lack of experience outside of Serbia.
Emery clearly has trust in the Serb after bringing him on against the Gunners and his performance was positive, given that it was his Premier League debut.
With that being said, the Spaniard opted to bring Lamare Bogarde in against Leicester City who also showed his qualities.
The January signing hasn’t let this affect him and is continuing to focus on himself, showing this with excellent performances for his country.

This resilience and form could put him in line to make his first Villa Park start on Saturday 14 September as Everton travel to B6.
