Aston Villa in left-field transfer move after £1m agreement with Arsenal
Dan Bardell believes Aston Villa signing Owen Asemota from Arsenal fits in with the transfer strategy the club have adopted.

A deal has been made possible after the goalkeeper rejected a scholarship at the Emirates in favour of a move to Villa Park.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell thinks this follows suit from recent deals to boost the academy at Bodymoor Heath.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bardell said: “Villa have got two transfer strands coming in at the moment.
“They’ve brought a lot of players in, in recent years to facilitate the Under 21s squad and get younger players involved that you stereotypically wouldn’t see.
“They’ve picked off West Brom, they’ve gone to Manchester City and also got a player or two off Arsenal as well.
“It just fits in with what Villa are trying to do with their academy squads in terms of getting them experienced at a young age, ship them off on loan and then extract fees for them.“
Aston Villa set to land Owen Asemota from Arsenal
The Villans completed the signing of Kane Taylor from Manchester City earlier in the summer and look set to follow suit by bringing in Asemota.
The keeper has experience on the international stage with England Under 15s and has the potential to join up with the U16s squad in the near future.

Arsenal’s shot-stopper made three appearances in the Premier League U18, showing his ability despite his young age.
It appears that the Villans are getting a top youngster in and have a new starlet to add to their academy ranks which can only be a plus.
The Englishman could prove to become a Villa regular in the future or be sold on for a profit after joining for £1m.
