Joe Hart notices Youri Tielemans do something ‘incredible’ in Aston Villa win v Leicester City

Joe Hart hailed Youri Tielemans for a free kick that led to Aston Villa opening the scoring in their win against Leicester City on Saturday 31 August.

The Villans picked up their second win of the Premier League season at the King Power Stadium thanks to goals from Amadou Onana and Jhon Duran.

The opener came from a cleverly worked Tielemans free kick which Hart picked out for praise on Match of the Day on 31 August.

He said: “I’m thinking Konsa, back post and Ramsey is going to make the third man run to the back post. Incredible disguise by Tielemans who wraps it into Ramsey. That looks like a really good goal.”

It was greatly positive to see the work of Austin MacPhee pay off against the Foxes with Onana scoring from a set piece once again.

The Belgium international was on top of his game against his former side, putting in an excellent midfield performance.

The 27-year-old was busy in the middle of the pitch with 76 touches of the ball which he converted into 52 passes with an 83 per cent accuracy [FotMob].

His defensive showing was key to a positive result, winning his two attempted tackles while being involved with six defensive actions and seven recoveries.

Tielemans was also positive going forward, being able to keep up a 100 per cent dribble success while making eight passes into the final third.

His assist unlocked a stubborn Leicester defence and was an extremely impressive routine from the Villans.

The Belgian looked to be putting in a cross looking for Konsa but caught the Foxes defence napping with a drilled pass.

This picked out Ramsey who was able to get in behind and was afforded the freedom of the penalty area to get a cross in.

There were plenty of options for the England under-21 international to look for with Ollie Watkins coming in at the near post.

The ball eventually fell to Onana who grabbed his second goal in three games for the Villans to open the scoring.

This eventually helped Unai Emery’s side to a 2-1 win, thanks in part to MacPhee and Tielemans’ free-kick routine.
