Lucas Digne offered route out of Aston Villa as European club make transfer approach
Aston Villa ace Lucas Digne has been offered a way out of the club by Galatasaray, according to Foot Mercato.
The French outlet reported on 7 August that the Turkish Super Lig side are interested in acquiring the Frenchman’s services on loan.
Galatasaray currently only have one option for the left-back role so their interest in the 31-year-old makes a lot of sense.
Aston Villa should let Lucas Digne leave Villa Park
The Villans are preparing themselves for their maiden Champions League campaign.
Unai Emery’s men managed to finish the season in fourth place after having a stellar Premier League season.
Near the start of the summer transfer window, the club added Chelsea left-back Ian Maatsen to their ranks, which has left the club in something of a predicament.
Emery now has three left-backs within his squad that could all stake a claim for the starting role.

However, due to Digne’s age in comparison to that of Maatsen and Alex Moreno, the exit of the Frenchman arguably makes the most sense.
With the addition of the Netherlands international, it feels likely that Maatsen will get the starting spot and leave Digne as the odd man out.
So, even if his exit is just that of a loan deal for now, his departure makes the most sense for both parties.
In other Aston Villa news, the Villans have reportedly made a £20million bid for another midfielder.
