Aston Villa silly after brand new Jhon Duran transfer developments

Bryan King has insisted that Aston Villa would be silly not to sell Jhon Duran this summer after he made his wishes very public.

The Colombian striker is facing internal disciplinary action at Villa Park, after appearing to make a West Ham gesture on social media, as links to the London club continue [Birmingham Live].

The ex-Villa scout admitted that incident was childish and that Unai Emery would lose no sleep if Duran finally seals his exit over Champions League football.

“I think it has been no secret that he wants to go to West Ham,” he exclusively told Villa News.

“Therefore, I think Villa would be silly to stop him. If he is coming in with these kinds of antics, then let him go.

“As long as they get the right fee and the club controls the transfer, not him. If that is where he wants to go, he doesn’t want to play UEFA Champions League football then that is his hard luck.

“I just think all these antics, doing the West Ham sign and all this stuff, it is social media childishness.

“Unai Emery won’t lose much sleep over him leaving the club, it is just a shame that it might get a bit messy.”

Aston Villa to finally sell Jhon Duran

Duran has his eyes firmly set on a move to the London Stadium this summer, even refusing an “incredible” proposal from Saudi Arabia [Sunday Mirror].

Emery will have no time for these types of players in his squad, and it will be a surprise to see him integrated back into the fold after these latest developments.

If he wants the move so badly, the door is open.
