Nottingham Forest star Gibbs-White suggested as next Aston Villa signing

Ty Bracey has named Ebere Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White as potential Aston Villa replacements for Moussa Diaby and Jhon Duran.

Fabrizio Romano reported on 21 July that the Frenchman looks set to join Al Ittihad while the striker is of interest to West Ham United [HITC].

This would leave a hole in the Villa squad with Joao Felix mooted as a potential replacement to plug the gap left.

Villa podcaster Bracey has put forward Eze and Gibbs-White as alternatives to the Portugal international to replace Diaby and Duran.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bardell said: “Ebere Eze would be a great shout.

He’s said to have a £60m-£70m release clause so that would be a lot of money but it would go towards an English quota.

I wouldn’t say no to Morgan Gibbs-White either, I can’t imagine he’d be as much but Forest would be reluctant to let him go.

We’ll be looking at somebody who can play in the Diaby role and the Duran role, someone who can play both rather than replacing both separately.

Morgan Gibbs-White and Ebere Eze mooted for Aston Villa

The Villans will certainly need to bring in alternative options if transfers for Diaby and Duran do go through this summer.

The France international featured in all but one game last campaign, featuring mainly as a second striker alongside Ollie Watkins.

By comparison, the 20-year-old striker was only afforded limited game time but scored goals regularly in those showings.

Despite not being like-for-like replacement options, there is no doubt that the signings of Eze or Gibbs-White would be well received.

The Crystal Palace star has shone for years in the Premier League and could take the next step to appear in the Champions League for Villa.

Similarly, the former Wolves man Gibbs-White has shone at Nottingham Forest and could develop well under the tutelage of Unai Emery.

It remains unclear who the Villans will look to sign should they lose some forward options but the English duo would be positive options no doubt.
