Aston Villa bid £15m plus Alex Moreno to complete next major signing

Aston Villa have made an offer worth £15 million plus Alex Moreno to Besiktas to sign Semih Kilicsoy from Besiktas, according to Yağız Sabuncuoğlu.

The Turkish journalist has reported (11 July) that the Villans have now made an opening offer for the forward.

The initial bid for the 18-year-old included £15m while offering them Moreno on a season-long loan to the Super Lig giants.

It is clear that a fresh approach will have to be taken as Besiktas have rejected the offer and it remains unclear if Villa will reignite their interest.

Aston Villa Semih Kilicsoy bid rejected

At 18 years old, it is clear that the Besiktas starlet has great potential and a high ceiling which has piqued the Villans’ interest.

Kilicsoy made 35 appearances in all competitions last season which saw him score 12 goals and provide four league assists [FotMob].

For a player of his age, this is a top return in front of goal which could make him a useful asset in the Premier League under Unai Emery.

The Turkyie international is versatile, having the ability to feature on either flank or even as a number nine when required.

The Besiktas youngster is positive with the ball at his feet with his dribbling and technical ability being the main feature of his game.

It has to be said that because of his age, there is an opportunity for opposition defenders to knock him off the ball due to their physical advantages.

Emery will be tempted to bring him to Villa Park because of his versatility which could make him a useful alternative to Ollie Watkins if Jhon Duran departs for West Ham United.
