Adrien Rabiot extra routines on the cards as Aston Villa want to seal transfer
Adrien Rabiot may require extra gym sessions if Aston Villa sign him on a free transfer this summer, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the 29-year-old’s strength and speed are things that can be improved but his style of play may be harder to get to what Unai Emery wants.
TEAMtalk reported on 25 June that Villa along with Arsenal and Manchester United are keen on signing the midfielder who was a regular for France at Euro 2024.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:
“His injury record isn’t anything outside of normal variance for elite footballers – has picked up small things here and there.
“In terms of his physicality, with regards to his outright speed, that will come more down to better strength and conditioning.
“Aston Villa may need to get him doing extra sessions in the gym if it’s something Unai Emery demands but it’s not a worry, per se.
“With regards to his playing style, that will be more difficult to adapt because it is hard to teach a penchant for contact.“
Aston Villa must look to secure Adrien Rabiot transfer
Signing Rabiot on a free transfer would be a smart piece of business for Villa.
The 29-year-old brings a wealth of experience from top European clubs and the French national team, which would be invaluable in the Champions League.
His versatility in midfield allows him to adapt to different roles, enhancing Villa’s tactical flexibility.

Rabiot’s leadership qualities and professionalism would further strengthen Villa’s dressing room and this is a signing that the fans would welcome as well.
