Aston Villa deal hailed after Fabrizio Romano shares Tuesday update on Jhon Duran
Ty Bracey believes the deal for Jhon Duran to leave Aston Villa and join West Ham United is a positive move for all parties.
Fabrizio Romano has reported (9 July) that the Hammers have submitted multiple bids for the Colombian with the latest being “around £35m plus 10% sell-on clause”.
Personal terms over a move for the 20-year-old have already been agreed with “negotiations underway” with the Villans for a fee.
Villa podcaster Bracey thinks the deal suits everyone and has praised Villa for bringing in a healthy profit so soon after signing Duran.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “It’s definitely a positive fee and a profitable piece business.
“On the pitch, he has been good and done what’s required of him, he scored some important goals against Liverpool. If he wants that move to what he thinks is bigger and better then Villa should let him crack on.
“With how things are going with finances it’s a good deal. He will need to be replaced there is no doubt about that.
“It’s good business to bring in a good amount of profit after just one season as a regular first-team player.“
Jhon Duran to leave Aston Villa for West Ham
The Colombian has become a divisive figure at Villa Park in a short space of time due to some off-field antics which have left a sour taste in the mouths of fans.
It has been made clear that Duran wants a move away with Chelsea seemingly his preferred destination based on his social media activity.
Add to this, a hug with Mauricio Pochettino after a 1-1 draw between Villa and the Blues and a move to Stamford Bridge felt likely.
Now that deal seems to have slowed and now a transfer to the London Stadium feels most likely this summer.

Given that it has been just 18 months since signing the 20-year-old, the Villans will be pleased to be receiving a great fee for Duran so soon.
In other Aston Villa news, Ivan Toney could be a replacement option for Jhon Duran.
