Aston Villa to agree groundbreaking transfer – ‘first deal of its kind’

Ty Bracey believes that Aston Villa involving Alisha Lehmann in a deal to sell Douglas Luiz to Juventus could prove to be positive.

Fabrizio Romano has suggested that (19 June) talks between the Villans and the Old Lady over the potential swap deal.

Il Bianco Nero has reported (16 June) that the Switzerland Women international could be set to move to Turin as part of the deal for the Brazilian.

Villa podcaster Bracey has suggested that involving Lehmann in the deal is a positive if it can help speed up a deal this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “It will be the first deal of its kind that’s for sure.

Obviously, Villa are keen to get that deal over the line as soon as possible and it looks like it’s stalling with Weston McKennie making demands.

If Alisha Lehmann and Douglas Luiz want to be together and play for the same club and that involves a transfer then so be it.

If it helps to sweeten up the deal then I don’t really see why not.

Alisha Lehmann to give Aston Villa Douglas Luiz boost

Luiz being sold appears to be an integral factor in the Villans’ summer in dealing with PSR complaints from the Premier League.

If they want to make new signings this summer they will have to sell players to allow wiggle room in the transfer window.

Luiz was one of the most improved and important players under Emery last season and it is disappointing to lose him.

It is clear that the club hierarchy sees him as the most easily replaceable option with Ross Barkley already nearing a move to Villa Park.

The whole footballing world knows that Lehmann and Luiz are a couple and it seems they want to continue playing for the same team.

She is a useful player for the Ladies’ team but if she can have a positive impact on a deal with Juventus and Luiz a move may be positive.

He will need replacing and so will she but it seems that the club are prepared to do that this summer.
