Aston Villa urged to sell Matty Cash amid £17million AC Milan transfer update
Bryan King believes Aston Villa should sell Matty Cash this summer amid interest from AC Milan.
The ex-Villa scout believes a move to Italy could favour the full-back as long as he is playing regular first-team football.
It comes after Calcio Mercato reported (9 June) that Milan have Cash on a list of potential targets at right-back.
Villa value the player at £17million, and King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – believes this is reasonable.
“I’d let Cash go,” King said.
“He has been involved with Villa regularly this season and I think £17million would be a fair fee for him.
“I think AC Milan would be a good move for him, as long as he is playing regularly.”
Will Aston Villa defender Matty Cash join AC Milan?
For Cash, this could be seen as a favourable move.
Milan are a huge club with plenty of history who will be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season, just like Villa will be.
It means either way the 26-year-old would be playing in Europe’s elite competition next year. It is now just about deciding where he feels he will feature more frequently.

As for Villa, Cash is an experienced Premier League player with international experience.
He still has three years left on his contract, and £17million, therefore, seems more than reasonable.
In other Aston Villa news, the club have been backed to replace Douglas Luiz with a £50million player.
