Aston Villa told to let Jhon Duran go to Chelsea as Unai Emery sets price tag
Ty Bracey has urged Aston Villa to let Jhon Duran leave this summer with Chelsea interested in signing him as a £40m fee has now been mooted.
The Colombian has been sounding out a move for many months with his social media likes being very heavily based around the Blues.
Matt Law has reported that Enzo Maresca’s side still has an interest in him (11 June) while Fabrizio Romano shared that the Villans will demand up to £40m (11 June).
Villa podcaster Bracey has suggested that Emery should part ways with the 20-year-old this summer if he wants to move to Stamford Bridge.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “He’s a player that has looked for a move away since being linked with Chelsea in January only months into his time at Villa.
“There’s a good player there but he’s come straight from the MLS and after like six months he’s looking to move on to somewhere else.
“He has bags of ability but he is replaceable. He’s had his moments with important goals like the ones against Liverpool in the final home game but if we can make a profit then he should be let go if he wants to leave.“
Jhon Duran Aston Villa departure rumours continue
Duran is a maverick. He is unpredictable and could prove to be one of the best strikers around if things go his way. What may let him down is his apparent attitude issues.
Right now, he is a second-choice striker at a Champions League club who are only getting better year after year.
The Colombian is working under the tutelage of one of the best managers in the Premier League who will improve him as a player.

If Duran wants to go, let him go. See what he does as a second-string striker at a different club under a manager who is an unknown quantity.
For Villa to make potentially upwards of £20million from the striker could prove to be a very useful piece of business this summer.
