Chelsea star Conor Gallagher medical claim shared amid Aston Villa transfer development
Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is unlikely to have any issues clearing his medical if Aston Villa are to sign him, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the England’s international record of not being injured for a signal Premier League game are down to his own habits given the fact that he plays a box-to-box role which can cause fitness issues.
This comes after the Guardian reported on 6 June that the Villa Park outfit have opened talks with the 24-year-old over a potential transfer.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:
“He missed just one Premier League game in the 2023/24 and that was due to a suspension.
“I would attribute Gallagher’s fitness most to his own habits and fitness level that have built up over previous seasons.
“His playing style is also very industrious which makes his games record even more impressive.
“Assuming he faces no major injury concerns at the EUROs, he would pass the medical given an ideal season in terms of his fitness.“
