Aston Villa set Douglas Luiz price with transfer on cards already

Aston Villa have already set their pricetag for Douglas Luiz ahead of the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Mirror.

The newspaper reported on 9 June that if a team would like to acquire the services of the Brazil international, they’ll have to cough up an eye-watering £50m.

Clubs such as Arsenal, Juventus and AC Milan are all said to be keen on the midfielders, who Villa may be forced to sell.

Who could Aston Villa replace Douglas Luiz with?

Although the Villans may be forced into the sale of Luiz this summer, they will have to delve into the market in order to reinforce their squad.

Without a suitable replacement, the Villans could find their maiden Champions League campaign cut short.

Which, after the season they’ve had, would be quite the fall from grace.

Whilst many don’t expect them to be one of the strongest teams in the competition, they could easily find themselves as dark horses.

Unai Emery’s men have beaten the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal throughout the 2023/24 campaign which, not only shows the talent they possess but also the strength in depth they have.

With this in mind, there have been a whole host of names linked with a move to Villa Park, however, Conor Gallagher’s name is the one that seems to be cropping up the most [Daily Mail].

The Chelsea man has had a stellar season with the Blues, playing 50 games and managing to contribute to a total of 16 goals.

This is certainly one to watch.
