Unai Emery to want big-name English players at Aston Villa as transfer speculation emerges
Bryan King claims Unai Emery will be focused on signing Champions League-level players at Aston Villa.
The ex-Villa scout believes high-profile players in England and Spain will be on the agenda for Emery.
It comes after a report in the Daily Mail (29 May) revealed that Villa, West Ham and Arsenal are all keeping tabs on 19-year-old Hajduk Split midfielder Rokas Pukstas.
But King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – doesn’t believe the USA Under-20 international will be a priority in the West Midlands.
“What Villa need to be looking at is Champions League quality players,” King said.
“This player is not Champions League quality. Emery will be concentrating on named English players and top-quality talents in Spain.
“There is no big rush to sign this profile of player, he won’t be key for Villa this season.”
Aston Villa and Unai Emery won’t be worried about missing out on Rokas Pukstas
A move for Pukstas is not what Villa supporters will want to read about.
While he might well be a talented player with a big future, he is not a big name.
Villa will already have talented youngsters in their own academy.

What they need now is ready-made stars who can help them compete in Europe.
After the way they were dumped out of the UEFA Europa Conference League, it is clear that the club need some upgrades if they want to compete in the Champions League.
In other Aston Villa news, King has reacted to reports that the club could look to sign a Juventus midfielder.
