Finley Munroe to replace Lucas Digne for Aston Villa for Premier League debut v Crystal Palace
After being involved in multiple first-team matchday squads this season, Unai Emery could be prepared to give Finley Munroe his first Aston Villa start against Crystal Palace.
The full-back has already made his debut for the Villans after coming on in the Conference League against Olympiacos (9 May).
Munroe wasn’t involved in the Under 21s squad as the Young Lions defeated Racing Club Warwick 9-0 to win the Birmingham Senior Cup.
This could point to him being involved on the Premier League final day against Crystal Palace, potentially from the start.
Could Finley Munroe start for Aston Villa v Crystal Palace?
Alex Moreno has been in and out of the Villa squad in recent weeks after struggles with an injury that has haunted him since last season.
This has seen Lucas Digne take the mantle as the left-back under Emery for the majority of this campaign.
He has featured across 32 matches in the Premier League this season with 26 [FotMob] of those coming from the start as Moreno has played the rest.
It could be said that the Frenchman is deserving of a rest after Champions League was secured this week after Tottenham’s defeat.
The final-day clash against Crystal Palace has nothing riding on it for either team which could see plenty of changes made.

Munroe could be in line for his Premier League debut against the Eagles after making six matchday squads under Emery since January.
He made a four-minute cameo against Olympiacos where he was only able to have seven touches of the ball but kept a 100 per cent pass completion [FotMob].
With Champions League already secured, Palace could be the perfect opportunity to gift a debut to some youngsters like Munroe.
