Aston Villa defender Alex Moreno injury news emerges v Liverpool
Aston Villa defender Alex Moreno may not be at a 100 per cent when Liverpool visit Villa Park on 13 May, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that he does face the risk of suffering another setback and that the club physios will be ensuring that it does not happen.
The 30-year-old came on in the final minute of extra time in the 1-0 defeat against Brighton on 5 May.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:
“Very likely he isn’t 100% as it takes a run of matches to get there.
“The behind the scenes routine will be careful monitoring of how he continues to respond to team training with a careful eye on any potential overloads.
“They [physios] will also be looking to avoid re-injury as that’s always a risk towards the backend of the season.“
Alex Moreno unlikely to start for Aston Villa this season
Lucas Digne has been Unai Emery’s go to option at left-back and he’s unlikely to change that for the remainder of the games.
Even in the UEFA Europa Conference League clash against Olympiacos, the Spaniard was an unused substitute for the Villans.

This season, Moreno has just made 11 Premier League starts and found the back of the net on two occasions.
In other Aston Villa news, an injury expert has issued a fresh update on Jacob Ramsey who may now have a stress fracture.
