Unai Emery would quit Aston Villa to join Barcelona – Villa Park insider
Bryan King believes Unai Emery would quit Aston Villa if FC Barcelona were to come in for him.
The ex-Villa scout feels that Barcelona are a club that any Premier League manager would jump at the opportunity to join.
It comes after HITC reported (15 April) that the La Liga giants are eyeing Emery as a possible replacement for Xavi this summer.
And King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – feels that the move would be difficult for Emery to refuse.
“There are two clubs which managers, including Emery, would leave the Premier League for, one of them is Real Madrid and the other one is Barcelona,” King said.
“For Emery to be linked with a club of that stature is incredibly positive for him, and it proves how well he is doing at Aston Villa.
“He has done it in Spain before, he has won European trophies with Sevilla so he is certainly a manager Barcelona would be looking at.”
Would Unai Emery quit Aston Villa to join FC Barcelona?
Emery is doing an incredible job at Villa Park.
He is seemingly building something special in the Premier League, and to walk away from that might be very difficult.
Unfortunately for Villa, turning down the chance to manage Barcelona could prove to be more difficult.

Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in world football, and if Emery was offered the chance to return to Spain and manage one of La Liga’s two giants, it is hard to imagine he would turn that down.
In other Aston Villa news, Ollie Watkins would be tempted to quit Villa Park amid a previous admission.
