Aston Villa: NSWE links can help secure Jota Silva transfer at Villa Park
Dan Plumley believes NSWE’s multi-club model hands Aston Villa an advantage in their bid to sign Vitoria Guimaraes star Jota Silva this summer.
It has been reported that Villa are one of several Premier League clubs interested in signing the 24-year-old from the Portuguese side, who are part-owned by V Sports.
The football finance expert admitted that there are no guarantees that the relationship would lead to the Portuguese winger making the move to Villa Park, but he added that it could help them in the conversations between the two clubs.
“We’ve seen the blueprint kind of set by City Football Group, that’s obviously on a much bigger scale than some of the other partnerships we’re talking about here, but it’s got similar undertones,” he exclusively told Villa News.
“You’ve seen that kind of movement of players and the benefit that can bring. Of course, there are no guarantees that it still works out that way, that player could go somewhere else.
“But there is going to be a conversation about the connections and the multi-club ownership, potentially over if that is a player that Villa should be looking at.

“It doesn’t give you any guarantees, but it does give you a bit of an advantage and that’s one of the advantages of a multi-club network.
“If you’re going to do it that way, then you might as well take advantage of those opportunities when they present themselves.”
Could NSWE links help Aston Villa sign Jota Silva?
It’s interesting to see that see that Villa have been linked with a move for Silva and it’s likely come off the back of the NSWE links to Vitoria Guimaraes.
As Plumley points out, that could provide them with an advantage in their bid to sign the winger, who has scored 15 goals and laid on seven assists in 37 appearances this season.
It would potentially help Unai Emery’s side in the negotiations process as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of what they hope will be a Champions League campaign.
