Aston Villa: Newcastle and Tottenham twist emerges in Wilfred Ndidi pursuit
Aston Villa, Newcastle, Tottenham, Brighton and Wolves are all keen on Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, according to HITC.
The report claims on 8 April that the Foxes are looking increasingly likely to lose the services of the 27-year-old Nigeria international.
Ndidi has done well in the Premier League with Leicester but has had the misfortune of injuries which have kept him out for months.
Aston Villa may find it tough to sign Ndidi ahead of Tottenham or Newcastle
Ndidi could be an excellent addition to Villa’s squad in the summer transfer window due to his proven ability as a defensive midfielder.
His robust style of play and adeptness at breaking up opposition attacks make him a valuable asset for any team.
However, securing his signature will pose a significant challenge for Villa, given the competition from wealthier clubs like Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United and work seems to be ongoing on other deals.
These clubs have financial resources that may allow them to offer higher wages or transfer fees, making it harder for Villa to compete in the bidding process.
Despite Villa’s ambition and the potential benefits of joining their project, the financial might and prestige of Tottenham and Newcastle could make it tough for Villa to secure Ndidi’s services.

However, it’s not like the Villa Park outfit does not have funds or European pedigree and there’s a high possibility of them playing in the Champions League next season.
