Aston Villa injury news: Doctor shares Jacob Ramsey surgery claim

Aston Villa attacking midfielder Aaron Ramsey will not be requiring surgery for his toe injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has reacted to the latest news emerging on the 22-year-old which has ruled him out for the rest of the season.

Ramsey is now the fourth senior played to be ruled out for the rest of the season with Boubacar Kamara, Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia all out with injuries.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:

“Ramsey is unlikely to require surgery or any operation as the club would’ve probably announced it if that were to be the case.

In terms of handling the situation, it really depends on what’s going on and we don’t have that information.

“It could be something where they’re trying to determine if surgery is needed or he’s just not progressing through physio as quickly as expected.

“It is a long-term one and the plan is probably to get him back in time for pre-season.”

Aston Villa ace Ramsey endures an annoying season

Ramsey has battled numerous injury woes throughout the season which has undoubtedly been annoying for him and the club.

There have been troubles with his ankle and hamstring previously and now it’s a toe setback ruling him out for the season.

The 22-year-old has managed to just feature on 16 occasions in the league this season whereas he was a regular in the 2022/23 campaign.

In other Aston Villa news, a doctor has issued an “unfortunate” response as footage has emerged of Tyrone Mings with an update on his current situation.
