Nicolo Zaniolo to exit Aston Villa as Galatasaray loanee put in ‘shop window’
Aston Villa are likely to be prepared to let Nicolo Zaniolo go in the summer despite a recent return to form, according to Ty Bracey.
Following his loan move from Galatasaray in the summer, it has been an up-and-down campaign for the Italian international.
He came in to provide cover following a season-ending injury for Emi Buendia and a long-term spell on the sidelines for Jacob Ramsey.
In recent weeks, Zaniolo has shown why Unai Emery signed him with some flashes of brilliance such as his spinning turn vs Wolves (30 March).
Despite this Bracey isn’t a believer that the club will exercise the chance to sign the attacking midfielder on a permanent basis.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, he said: “I don’t expect him to stay personally, I don’t think Zaniolo will stay at Villa after this season. It’s shop window time isn’t it really as much as you don’t want to say that it is shop window season, it is where clubs start looking towards the end of the year.”
“It’s just one of those things where he’ll start playing good football I think.”
Should Aston Villa sign Nicolo Zaniolo permanently?
There is no doubt that Zaniolo has had a positive impact, at times, throughout his career with the Villans so far.
His late equalisers against Sheffield United and West Ham have saved vital points in the quest to achieve Champions League qualification.
With that being said, these are his only two goal involvements in a Villa shirt despite playing over 700 minutes in the Premier League [FotMob].

This return isn’t good enough for a player who played a positive role for Roma in a Conference League-winning campaign just two years ago.
There is no indication as to how much he may cost the Villans should they look to make the move permanent.
According to Transfermarkt, he is valued at £20m and would likely cost more in the summer than this suggests.
With a lack of consistent impact and a collection of poor performances, there is no true reason for Villa to sign Zaniolo permanently.
