Aston Villa v Wolves: Doctor issues Jacob Ramsey injury update

Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey may require a fitness test to be available for the Wolves clash, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that ankle issues are tougher to deal with given how much load is put on them during games.

Unai Emery said on 13 March that he hopes the 22-year-old is not out for a while without giving a likely return date.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:

Foot and ankle injuries can be difficult to deal with because of the load through them during football so this sounds very much like a day to day management plan which would also explain Emery’s comments.

It can be frustrating.

He’ll perhaps require a fitness test ahead of the games post the international break.

His availability will be based on how he trains this week.

Aston Villa face Ramsey injury wait v Wolves

Ramsey has been battling injury issues and Emery will be hoping that he can put that behind him once and for all.

Last season, the 22-year-old featured regularly for Villa but has barely managed to play this time around.

He’s only made eight Premier League starts thus far, scoring one goal and providing an assist as well.
