Aston Villa eye Pedro Guilherme deal as £25m+ update emerges from Flamengo
Aston Villa are interested in making a move for Flamengo forward Pedro Guilherme in the summer transfer window, according to CalcioMercato.
The Italian news outlet reported [12 March] that the Villans have joined the race for the Brazilian striker alongside Chelsea, Fulham and West Ham United.
It is understood that a price tag of £25.6million has been set by Flamengo after a £15.4million offer was turned down from Benfica last summer, and also have the desire to add a sell-on-clause in the deal.

Considering Ollie Watkins’ form this season, bagging 21 goals and 10 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions, it would come as no surprise if other clubs in Europe come knocking at Villa Park.
With Jhon Duran the only other out-and-out striker at Unai Emery’s disposal currently, it is vital that Villa bring in another striker in the summer transfer window, even to cover for Watkins if injury strikes.
The Colombian understudy has only made 35 appearances for Villa since signing for the club in January 2023, making zero Premier League starts so far this season.
Pedro’s failed transfer to Fiorentina in Italy will come as a worry, having only made four appearances between August 2019 and January 2020. However, his comeback from that spell has been incredible.
The 26-year-old currently boasts 114 goals and 24 assists in 229 appearances for Flamengo, having scored 31 times for Fluminense at the start of his career.
Pedro is one of the most dangerous strikers in South America and could present Emery with a cheap alternative to a well-renowned European striker, who would set the club back millions.
Of course, some will see the deal as a huge risk, especially after his spell in Serie A, but the price tag is difficult to ignore.
