Aston Villa: Former employee moots Villa Park move for Roony Bardghji, summer transfer certain

Aston Villa target Roony Bardghji will leave FC Copenhagen this summer, according to former Villa Park scout Bryan King.

The Midlands club have previously sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old winger, who has scored 11 goals this season.

King believes Villa should be in the running for the teenager, adding that he will base his next move on minutes on the pitch.

Speaking to Villa News, King said: “The thing that will influence him will be matches, is he going to play? Game time has got to be the important thing for him, and he’ll probably be looking to get that with Aston Villa.

“Fellow right winger Leon Bailey was a good buy, he’s been an interesting player this year. They aren’t afraid of Scandinavian players at Villa, they’ve had them in the past, and they’ve always done well.

“Bardghji is an interesting player, that’s for sure. He’ll move this summer, without any shadow of a doubt. So why not Villa? Villa are a big club, but they haven’t won much in the last 15 years.”

Can Aston Villa win the race for Roony Bardghji this summer?

Bardghji is undoubtedly heading for a bright future, with the youngster shining in the Danish league and Champions League this season.

Both Manchester United and Manchester City saw the teenager up close, with the winger netting against the former in the group stages of Europe’s elite club competition.
