Aston Villa: Tyrone Mings injury news emerges despite Fabrizio Romano update
Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings is expected to be ruled out for weeks despite an update emerging on his ACL injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert has reacted to an update shared by Fabrizio Romano as he relayed an official statement shared by the clubs.
The journalist shared the “Huge news” which was the 30-year-old returning to initial training.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News:
“Mings has returned to the early stages of training, but he is still expected to be ruled out for several weeks.
“If there’s any chance for him to return before the season, he would have to start some individual training at this point and then gradually incorporate it into team training.
“It would involve increasing intensity and more sport-specific actions.
“This is not something that happens in days or even a few weeks but the early signs are positive for him.“
Will Mings return for Aston Villa before the end of the season?
Mings started his season in the worst possible way and the 31 minutes off the bench against Newcastle in August are the only senior minutes he’s played thus far.
He appeared to be closing in on nailing his spot in the England squad for the upcoming EUROs but that does not seem to be on the cards.

In December, it was revealed that his injury was more significant than first feared so this is a very good sign for him that he’s on the right track.
