Chris Sutton wowed by Leon Bailey after ‘brilliant’ Aston Villa moment v Nottingham Forest
Aston Villa stormed to an important win against Nottingham Forest on Saturday (24 February) in a six-goal thriller.
Villa Park played host to the Premier League clash, with the hosts running out 4-2 winners to cement their top four position.
A Douglas Luiz brace was key to the victory, with Ollie Watkins and Leon Bailey also on the scoresheet for the home side, with Moussa Niakhate and Morgan Gibbs-White scoring for Forest.
Unai Emery will be very annoyed at his defenders for conceding two goals, especially on home soil, but he can have no complaints with his attackers.
And one attacker who really had a good game at Villa Park was Bailey, with the winger assisting Watkins for the opener before wrapping up the win with the final goal of the game.
It was indeed his efforts for the former goal that particularly caught the eye, with Chris Sutton blown away by the tricky Jamaican international as he set up his striker after just four minutes at Villa Park.
“Really good start for Aston Villa,” Sutton said on BBC Sport Final Score (3.09pm, 24 February). “Leon Bailey had a brilliant play down the right-hand-side, one nutmeg then another to find Ollie Watkins who had the easiest of tasks.”
Aston Villa star Bailey shines v Nottingham Forest
The winger really did do all the hard work, and unsurprisingly star striker Watkins was in the right place at the right time to put the ball into the back of the net.
It was just one moment of brilliance in a top display from the Jamaican, who had two shots on target, completed two of his four dribbles, made two clearances, completed his only attempted cross (100%), and registered a key pass [Sofascore].

His influential display means Aston Villa are still on track to clinch a stunning fourth spot in the Premier League.
