Aston Villa: Fabrizio Romano shares Unai Emery update amid Bayern Munich links

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is 100 per cent focused on his current project at Villa Park despite recent links to the Bayern Munich job, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian journalist reported via his Daily Briefing on Saturday (24 February) that Bayern are yet to reach a decision over who will replace Thomas Tuchel after the German giants announced he would leave at the end of the season.

Emery’s impressive record has seen him mooted as a potential replacement come the end of the season, but the Villa boss is not willing to speak to other clubs at this moment in time with his entire focus on the remainder of the campaign at Villa Park.

Will Unai Emery leave Aston Villa for Bayern Munich?

The Bayern Munich job is not an easy role to turn down for any manager as it offers an excellent opportunity to win plenty of silverware that few other clubs in the world can.

However, it has become clear in recent weeks that Emery is incredibly committed to his role at Villa and would not be willing to give it up at this stage of the project, with most pundits suggesting he would have no interest in replacing Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Villa are building in the right direction under his management and have a genuine chance of qualifying for the Champions League this season, while also being only a matter of games away from lifting the Europa Conference League trophy.

Hopefully, Emery will continue to ignore approaches from other clubs and keep up his excellent work in the Midlands, at least for a couple more seasons. Every Villa fan will be hoping his attitude doesn’t change in the coming months.
