Ex-Aston Villa Scout gutted by Boubacar Kamara injury blow amid ‘strange’ development
Aston Villa have lost Boubacar Kamara to injury at a “rather bad time,” according to former Villa Park scout Bryan King.
The midfielder will miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury, as per BBC Sport (16 February), with the club already without Diego Carlos and Ezri Konsa due to injury.
The publication added that Emiliano Buendia and Tyrone Mings are also currently sidelined with previous ACL injuries.
Speaking to Villa News, King said: “I think it has come at a rather bad time for them because they’ve had a little run of strange results, to be honest.
“And obviously when one of your better players, who has had a very good season up to now, you get the news that he is going to be out for the rest of the season, and you’ve just gone past the January window, it makes things a little bit difficult.
“This is going to be an interesting couple of weeks for Villa. They are still alive in Europe, in the league they need to get back a little bit of consistency because they’ve been half-winning games, and then getting turned over. I think Emery has certainly got to sort things out.
“It doesn’t look comfortable at the club at the moment, some of their results have been not consistent with the way Villa had been playing up until the 1st of January.”

Kamara a huge miss for Aston Villa
Villa supporters will be fuming at the injury blow to Kamara, with the Villa Park faithful fully aware of just how important he is.
Emery will be of the same opinion, with the manager now having a difficult task when it comes to his replacement at the Midlands club.
That replacement certainly has big boots to fill, although the likes of senior stars John McGinn and Douglas Luiz should be able to step up in his absence.
