Middlesbrough respond to Aston Villa bid for Morgan Rogers while another medical is scheduled on Friday at Villa Park
Aston Villa have had their opening bid for Middlesbrough forward Morgan Rogers rejected, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper reported in its print edition on Friday (page 68, 19 January) that Villa will now consider a revised bid for the 21-year-old.
The Daily Mail added that Red Star Belgrade right-back Kosta Nedeljkovic will undergo his medical at Villa on Friday, before returning to the Serbian club on loan.

Mixed news
It is mixed news for Unai Emery and the Midlands club, with the positive side of things coming in the form of a deal for 18-year-old defender Nedeljkovic.
The youngster will return to his homeland for the remainder of the campaign, but the Spanish boss will be delighted to have sorted out this deal.

The full-back will definitely be one to watch for the future, and looks to have a bright career ahead for both club and country.
Things haven’t been so smooth regarding Boro youngster Rogers, a player that Emery is clearly very keen on signing this month.
But the Villa manager will not be too frustrated given how these are very early stages in any potential transfer for the former Manchester City man.
The attacker has six goals and eight assists to his name in all competitions this season, and has been a key player for manager Michael Carrick.
Emery certainly got to see the young forward up close, with Rogers having played the entire 90 minutes as Boro lost 1-0 to Villa in the FA Cup third round earlier this month.
In other Aston Villa news, one Villa man delivered a timely 86% cameo against Everton recently, but he still has room to improve.
